KAMLOOPS — It’s not always that the Kamloops RCMP detachment informs the public that one of their own is having a birthday — but this one is special.
Police Service Dog Fargo turned eight Wednesday (June 2).
Fargo has served the local detachment faithfully for the past five years, along with handler and partner Cpl. Steve Prior. The two worked together in Newfoundland before moving across the country.
The German shepherd began his day with a birthday bagel before doing what he loves most – getting to work. He and Prior took part in a fully day of training to keep up their skills.
