Mounties seek Merritt woman on province-wide warrant

MERRITT, B.C. — The Merritt RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a wanted Merritt woman.
“Melissa Anne Hillis, is wanted province wide for two different counts of theft under $5000, associated to incidents that occurred in the Merritt area on March 21, 2021, and May 3, 2021. Two endorsed warrants have been issued for Ms. Hillis’ arrest,” wrote Sgt. Josh Roda.
Hillis is described as a Caucasian female, who stands 5 ft 7 in tall, weighs approximately 225 pounds and has brown hair and blue eyes.
Anyone with information on Ms. Hillis’ whereabouts is asked to call the Merritt RCMP at 250-378-4262. Or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
