FortisBC to excavate, inspect gas line through Kenna Cartwright Park next week

KAMLOOPS — FortisBC has designated next week as a work week within Kenna Cartwright Park.
According to the utility, crews will be excavating and inspecting two small sections of the Fortis natural gas pipeline through the park near Prickly Pear Cactus Trail. The work is scheduled to take place from June 7 to 11.
Fortis says the work is not due to any particular problem, but is considered routine monitoring and maintenance.
After the inspection work is finished, Fortis says it will restore the excavated areas to their previous condition, “using seeds and materials appropriate to the park.”
