SALMON ARM, B.C. — RCMP say a teenaged abductee was rescued in Salmon Arm earlier this month.
According to a news release, Salmon Arm RCMP were alerted on May 18 to a vehicle headed toward the community from the west.
The vehicle and its driver were associated to a 14-year-old girl who was the subject of an abduction investigation in Alberta. They had previously been in Barriere.
Officers stopped the vehicle in Salmon Arm, finding the teenage girl, who appeared to be safe. She was turned over to B.C.’s Ministry of Children and Family Development.
