Kamloops RCMP searching for witnesses in alleged crash and assault

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are looking for potential witnesses in a recent vehicle crash and assault on Tranquille Road.
On May 15, around 5:30 a.m., a brown Toyota Rav4 was reported to be involved in a single-vehicle collision at Tranquille and Ord Road. The same Rav4 was allegedly near Tranquille Farm and Tranquille Road at Criss Creek Road, at around 4:30 to 5:00 a.m., where its occupants were reported to have been involved in an altercation.
RCMP said they have reason to believe at least two other vehicles may have witnessed the Toyota at these locations and during the alleged assault: a car that honked and a small white car.
Anyone who witnessed an assault or vehicle crash on May 15 around Tranquille Road, or suspects they were in one of the cars noted, is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file number 2021-15837.
