Baseball bat seized in Salmon Arm assault case
SALMON ARM, B.C. — A baseball bat was allegedly used as a weapon in a dispute in the Shuswap.
On Wednesday, May 26, 2021 just before 8 p.m., Salmon Arm RCMP was called to a Sparrow Road address by a woman who advised that a man had threatened her and a relative with a gun.
Police officers arrived on scene and through the investigation, learned that the suspect had allegedly struck a 21-year-old male resident of the home with a bat.
“A search for the suspect was carried out and a 26-year-old Salmon Arm man was taken into police custody, on another residential property nearby. He was later released on strict conditions, and is expected to appear in court at a later date,” Staff Sgt. Scott West said.
