Grass fire breaks out on Tk’emlups Reserve Wednesday

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Fire Rescue crews are on scene of a grass fire on the Tk’emlups Reserve Wednesday morning (May 26).

The fire broke out near Salish Road at about 10:40 a.m. Smoke billowing from the fire can be seen from a large portion of Kamloops.

Initial firefighters responding to the scene noted the fire measured about 100 metres squared.

There is no word if any nearby buildings are threatened.
