Westmount home damaged by fire

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Fire and Rescue crews had to deal with a house fire in Westmount last night around the supper hour. The home was located at 631 Collingwood Drive.
Damage was extensive. KFR says the home’s occupant saw smoke coming up the side of the home, and when he checked it out, found the entire storage area in the basement was on fire. The basement was gutted and there was damage to one side of the home.
There’s no indication yet what caused the blaze. There were some minor injuries in the incident. Fire investigators will be on the scene this morning.
