VANCOUVER — At least two more deaths on the weekend believed related to ongoing gang wars in the Lower Mainland.

A man was gunned down in Coquitlam Saturday afternoon. IHIT, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Unit, says they found a body near a white SUV after being called to the scene.

And Saturday night, a man in Calgary was killed in a shooting that had all the earmarks of the gang shootings recently at the Coast. Further to that, some media have identified the victim in the Calgary shooting as Gurkeet Salkat, whose brother was shot and killed just 10 days earlier in Burnaby.

And a deadly mall shooting in Nanaimo last Thursday is also believed related to the ongoing gang conflict. Police were called to a strip mall and found one man dead inside a vehicle.
