Kamloops Film Society receives charitable status, private bookings resume
May 25, 2021 | 4:00 PM
KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Film Society (KFS) announced Tuesday (May 25) that they’ve received charitable status from the Government of Canada.
Official charitable status allows KFS to conduct more robust donor campaigns and apply for funding they previously wouldn’t be eligible for. KFS can also issue tax receipts for donations they receive.
In addition to receiving charitable status, KFS is also able to conduct private bookings of up to 10 people at Paramount Theatre, due to the updated health guidelines of B.C.’s Restart.
Film showings will continue at Twin Rivers Drive-In at McArthur Island.
