Youth cleared of allegations of lewd acts on transit bus

KAMLOOPS – RCMP have cleared an individual wanted in connection with an alleged act of lewd behaviour on a Kamloops transit bus earlier this month.
Mounties issued a news release asking the public to help them to identify a man who allegedly performed a lewd act while riding on a bus on the afternoon of May 5.
“Allegations of this nature are taken seriously and we are happy to report that as a result of a thorough investigation, no wrong-doing was identified,” said Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Constable Crystal Evelyn.
Police say the youth aged suspect contacted police upon seeing his image in the media and has since been deemed innocent by investigators.
