NARAMATA, B.C. — B.C. RCMP Major Crimes investigators are officially confirming the identities of two Kamloops murder victims in an effort to further their investigation.

The bodies of Erick Fryer, 29, and Carlo Fryer, 31, were found near Naramata on Monday (May 10). Family identified the brothers as the victims on social media.

RCMP are investigating both deaths as homicides.

In a news release, Supt. Sanjaya Wijayakoon, Acting Officer-in-Charge of the B.C. RCMP Major Crimes Section, says investigators will remain in the Penticton and Naramata area for the next few days.

“South Okanagan residents can expect to continue to see major crime resources in the region for the remainder of the week as investigators continue to advance the homicide investigation,” said Wijayakoon.

Investigators believe the killings were isolated and not random. They note there has been no evidence connecting the deaths to the ongoing organized crime turf war taking place in the Lower Mainland.

Anyone with any further information is asked to call the Major Crime Section at 1 (877) 987-8477 or, to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477.
