KAMLOOPS — National Road Safety Week is an annual awareness campaign on reducing roadway related injuries.

With the campaign taking place between May 18 and 24, Kamloops RCMP will run Speed and Cell Watch programs, providing education and tips to cyclists, and handing out reflective zipper pulls to pedestrians.

“Road safety is not just about drivers being careful and attentive on the city’s streets and highways, but also about the pedestrians and the cyclists who also share the roadways,” Cpl. Dana Napier said.
