RCMP service dog helps Mounties track down break-in suspects near McLure
McLURE, B.C. — Barriere RCMP members and the Kamloops Police Dog Service teamed up last week to nab a pair suspected in a series of Barriere-area break-ins.
On Wednesday (May 12) at about 7:30 a.m., a resident in the McLure area called RCMP about a suspicious man and woman on a rural property.
Once on scene, Police Service Dog Kody quickly picked up a track and led members to two suspects. Along the way, officers found evidence that the two had been breaking into several cabins and trailers.
Members seized a set of brass knuckles, a canisters of bear spray and break-in tools, among other items.
