RCMP seize cocaine, mushrooms, and handgun in Silver Creek search warrant
SALMON ARM — A man near Silver Creek potentially faces charges under the Cannabis Act and the Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act following a search warrant at an alleged illegal cannabis growing operation.
On Friday (May 14), Salmon Arm RCMP obtained 100 cannabis plants, dried cannabis, over 300 grams of suspected cocaine, over 400 grams of suspected magic mushrooms, an undisclosed amount of cash and a loaded .40 calibre handgun.
The man in question, who investigators believed to be associated to the property near Silver Creek, was taken into police custody and later released pending further investigation. He is expected to appear in Salmon Arm Law Courts at a later date.
