KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Hospice Association is hosting another raffle to raise money for end of life care at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice Home.

The association has been unable to host its annual gala two years in a row due to COVID-19 and has looked to virtual fundraisers to make up for this.

Currently, tickets for the Let’s Get Electrified raffle are on sale with a chance to win a 2018 Chevrolet Bolt Premier.

“It was a gift,” Executive Director Wendy Marlow said. “The car was donated, an electric car. It’s a demo, only 6,000 kilometres on it and it’s for raffle. We’re very excited about this car and if you buy a ticket for the car raffle you can buy a ticket for a 50/50 raffle and win $50,000.”

Tickets have been on sale since April 26 and the raffle will close on July 5, with the draw the next day.

Ticket sales are online on the Kamloops Hospice Website.

“Yes, it’s changing times for all of us,” Marlow said, “but we’re just feeling really supported and just having fun being able to remain visible in the community so that people know that we’re here for them, caring for their loved ones and for them at end of life.”
