JOE EXOTIC MAY HAVE CANCER: Joe Exotic believes he may have prostate cancer, and TMZ reports that he is asking President Joe Biden for help. His lawyer tells TMZ Joe is set to undergo further testing in prison, but that the medical facility there is limited. Joe told TMZ: “I have lost a tremendous amount of weight, the mouth sores are out of control, I throw up more than I eat. I don’t want anyone’s pity, what I need is when John Phillips gets the evidence he is working on, I need the world to help him get President Biden, VP Harris and the Attorney General to listen to the evidence.” He is hoping to get a pardon and receive treatment.
DISNEY TANKS: The House of Mouse is hitting the skids after its streaming growth failed to meet expectations, only reaching 103.6 million subscribers, after being expected to surge past 109 million. Shares slid 2.6%, after reporting that it made $15.61 billion in revenue, missing an estimate of $15.87 billion.
GWYNETH PALTROW IS FREAKING OUT: Apple is 17, and her mama Gwyneth Paltrow just can’t believe it. On Friday, the Goop maestro posted a sweet IG, writing: “Can it be? 17 today?? My sweetest girl… YOU ARE MY LIFE! You make me belly laugh every day. You are brilliant and hardworking. You are fully YOU which I respect and admire so much. BRIDGERTON SPINOFF IS A GO: Netflix has ordered an untitled spinoff of Bridgerton, focusing on the origin story of Queen Charlotte. Shonda Rhimes will write what is being billed as a limited series. “Many viewers had never known the story of Queen Charlotte before Bridgerton brought her to the world, and I’m thrilled this new series will further expand her story and the world of Bridgerton. Shonda and her team are thoughtfully building out the Bridgerton universe so they can keep delivering for the fans with the same quality and style they love. And by planning and prepping all the upcoming seasons now, we also hope to keep up a pace that will keep even the most insatiable viewers totally fulfilled,” Netflix’s Bela Bajaria said in a statement Friday.
