The Hamlets hosting fundraiser for Alzheimer’s Society in Kamloops
KAMLOOPS — The Hamlets at Westsyde is hosting a fundraiser next week that’ll benefit the Alzheimer’s Society in Kamloops, and it’s encouraging everyone in the community to come to the care home and contribute to the great cause.
The fundraiser will happen at The Hamlets this coming Monday, May 17. With a food truck outside, and a silent auction inside, the facility is hoping to raise $5,000 for the local Alzheimer’s Society.
“In addition to the silent auction, we’re holding a 50/50 draw. As well, we’re having the Valhalla Smoked Meat truck on site from 11 a.m. on and $10 from every meal purchased is going to the Alzheimer’s Society,” said The Hamlets GM Bob Attfield. “We’re looking forward to the community being involved. We’re going to be inviting the employees at the stores across the street and we’re welcoming the community to join us to support this great cause.”
