Weekly Kamloops COVID-19 case count down by over 40 per cent

KAMLOOPS — Most communities within Interior Health saw a decrease in COVID-19 case count totals last week.

The B.C. Centre for Disease Control released another round of case totals broken down by local health area (LHA) Wednesday (May 12).

For the week of May 2 to 8, the Kamloops area recorded 33 new cases of COVID-19, a decrease of 24 from the week prior.

Here are the totals for areas surrounding Kamloops between May 2 to 8, 2021:

  • Cariboo/Chilcotin – 2 (down by 3 from last week)
  • North Thompson – 0 (unchanged)
  • 100 Mile House – 1 (down by 1)
  • South Cariboo – 0 (unchanged)
  • Lillooet – 2 (up by 1)
  • Merritt – 1 (down by 1)
  • Vernon – 22 (down by 3)
  • Armstrong-Spallumcheen – 4 (up by 1)
  • Enderby – 2 (down by 1)
  • Salmon Arm — 9 (unchanged)
  • Revelstoke – 1 (down by 5)
  • Central Okanagan-Kelowna — 162 (down by 12)
