KAMLOOPS — There was a dramatic crash downtown on Wednesday morning and a Kamloops taxi driver is lucky he wasn’t more injured after being hit by a pick-up truck.
The Kami Kab rolled and landed on its roof following the collision around 11 a.m. on Third Avenue. The driver of the taxi was taken to hospital with unknown injuries, while the driver of the pick-up truck was issued a ticket for an unsafe lane change.
After blocking off traffic on Third Avenue for about an hour, two tow trucks were needed to pull the taxi from its roof and onto its wheels.
