KAMLOOPS — UPDATE: RCMP say one person is in custody and police have cleared from this address.
EARLIER: RCMP say officers have congregated at a location near the John Tod Community Centre on the North Shore.
In a news release, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cst. Crystal Evelyn says the detachment’s Targeted Enforcement Unit (TEU) has concentrated its attention around Wood Street and Hilltop Avenue Wednesday morning (May 12).
Evelyn says police do not expect there will be any danger to the public, but residents will notice a lot of police in one area.
