Kamloops Mounties searching for suspect in armed robbery
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are asking the public to keep an eye out for a suspect involved in an armed robbery Saturday night.
Media Relations Officer Cst. Crystal Evelyn says in a release around 8:51 p.m Saturday evening (May 8) around 8:51 p.m., officers were called to a business in the 900-block of Columbia Street West for a theft involving a handgun.
A man allegedly entered the store, stole some samosas, chips and a drink. When he was confronted by a staff member, he removed a handgun from his waistband and warned the employee to stay away.
