Kamloops bus rider allegedly made sexual gestures toward youngsters

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are investigating a report of a man making sexual gestures to children on a transit bus.

In a news release, spokesperson Cst. Crystal Evelyn says the incident took place Wednesday (May 5) at about 4:00 p.m.

A young teen was with their younger sibling on the bus when a man allegedly made sexual gestures toward the teen.

The two got off the bus in the area of Columbia Street West. A short time later, the two saw the same man looking at them. The youngsters sought out nearby adults and explained what happened.

Suspect description:

  • 6’1″
  • Yellow t-shirt
  • Ripped blue jeans
  • Black hair

“We are thankful to the youth for bringing this concerning incident to our attention,” said Evelyn in the release. “Police are releasing an image of the alleged suspect with hope that someone will be able to identify him, or he’ll come forth, and help us further our investigation.”
