BC student aid websites back online with no data compromised after potential hack

VICTORIA — Student loan websites in B.C. are back up and running after an alleged hacking incident forced them to shut down on Monday (May 3).
The StudentAid BC website along with LiveLearn BC’s website were temporarily out of service this week as the Ministry of Advanced Education investigated a potential breach.
Students who use the loan servers voiced concern around their information getting into the hands of criminals. However as of Thursday, the Ministry says it can now confirm no private data was compromised.
