Residential builds dominate construction sector in Kamloops for April

KAMLOOPS — The latest numbers from the City of Kamloops show a slower month of April as the city’s building sector lags behind 2020’s record-setting pace.

Totals released by the City’s Building Inspection Division show $10.1 million in permits issued in April, less than one-third of the total from April of 2020.

The majority of last month’s activity came from new residential builds.

Four months into 2021, there have been $44.3 million in permits issued to local builders, just over half of the total for the same interval last year.
