No injuries after crash on Battle Street off-ramp

KAMLOOPS — The driver of a small car escaped with a ticket and a court date after a crash near the Valleyview Interchange Tuesday (May 4.)

At about 11:15 a.m., a car exiting the Trans Canada Highway westbound onto Battle Street in downtown Kamloops collided with a heavy tanker truck.

No one was injured, but the crash tied up traffic on the off ramp.

RCMP say the car’s driver was issued a ticket for an unsafe lane change and a notice to appear on a charge of driving while prohibited.
