Hotel room screams in Kamloops downtown lead RCMP to arrest
KAMLOOPS — A woman screaming from a downtown Kamloops hotel room led to an arrest Monday (May 3).
In a news release, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cst. Crystal Evelyn says at about 10:15 a.m. Monday, a woman was reported screaming from a room in a hotel in the 300-block of St. Paul Street. The only hotel in that block is the DoubleTree by Hilton.
The woman was screaming for help, mentioning a stabbing.
No room number was provided in the report, causing officers to search two floors of the hotel before finding the correct room.
