Kamloops RCMP seize drugs and weapons, look for robbery and assault suspects

Kamloops RCMP responded to approximately 419 calls for service from midnight Friday (April 30), to 9:00 a.m. on Monday (May 3). Below are some highlights from those calls.

Drugs and weapons seized in Sahali traffic stop

Four people were arrested and search during a traffic stop on Columbia Street West near Summit Drive late Sunday evening.

Officers seized a replica handgun, bear spray, and knives, as well as drugs and paraphernalia.

Those arrested were released at scene and the investigation is ongoing.

Police looking for suspect with a crown tattoo following robbery

A robbery late Sunday evening has police searching for a man with a crown tattoo on his face and a flower tattoo on his hand.

The man allegedly stole property at a business on the 900-block of Columbia Street West, then brandished a knife when confronted by an employee, before fleeing on foot.

The man is described as Caucasian, 5’7″, and between 25 to 30 years old, wearing red sweatshirt and gray sweatpants.

North Shore bat assault

Early Sunday evening at the 700-block of Fortune Drive, a man was allegedly beaten with a bat by someone who took off in a red Dodge Durango.

Police said they spoke with a witness in the area, and the man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
