Man arrested in connection with Adams Lake suspicious death released

ADAMS LAKE, B.C. — A man arrested in connection with the death of an Adams Lake woman late Tuesday (Apr. 27) has been released without charge — but RCMP say the death is still considered suspicious.

A 60-year-old woman was found dead late Tuesday at a home in the 8600-block of Holding Road. Investigators deemed the death suspicious and arrested a man in connection with the death.

Mounties were back at the scene Thursday.

“Investigators were back on site earlier [Thursday], continuing their examination of the Holding Road property. That scene, just south of Adams Lake, has been released by authorities and is no longer being secured by police,” said RCMP Southeast District spokesman Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey in a news release.

The death has not been classified a homicide, but O’Donaghey says it will still be considered suspicious “until proven otherwise.”
