KAMLOOPS — RCMP are looking for a pair of suspects after a home invasion in the Sagebrush neighbourhood Monday (Apr. 26).

According to a news release from Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cst. Crystal Evelyn, members were called to a home in the 700-block of Munro Street at about 6:00 a.m. Monday.

Witnesses said two men had broken into the home, triggering its alarm. When a resident of the home tried to leave, the men allegedly forced them back inside, giving the resident minor injuries in the process.

The suspects demanded money before escaping with items including a wallet.

The Police Dog Services Unit attended and found the wallet, but could not find the suspects.

Description:

  • One described as white
  • Both in their 20s
  • Both were wearing gloves, sunglasses, hoodies
  • One hoodie was brown, the other possibly black

“We’re asking anyone who lives around the area and hasn’t yet spoken to police to please have a look at their home surveillance to see if there is anything on it that might help with this investigation,” said Evelyn in the release.

Anyone with more information is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP at (250) 828-3000 and quote file number 2021-13238.
