Victim of Halston Bridge crash Tuesday was man in his 70s: RCMP
KAMLOOPS — RCMP say a motorcycle rider killed on the Halston Bridge Tuesday was thrown from his bike.
At about 9:15 a.m., emergency responders were called to the east end of the bridge for a crash involving an eastbound three-wheeled motorcycle and a truck.
In a news release, Cst. Crystal Evelyn says investigators believe the rider lost control of his motorcycle, causing it to hit the centre divider. The force of the collision threw him clear. The motorcycle continued for a short distance, hitting a flat-deck trailer before rolling to a stop.
The rider was pronounced dead at the scene. He was a man in his 70s.
