CFJC a finalist for two Radio Television Digital News Association awards
KAMLOOPS — CFJC TV has been named a finalist for two prestigious Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) Canada awards.
In a news release issued Tuesday (Apr. 27), RTDNA unveiled the finalists for its West Region awards.
CFJC was recognized in the Breaking News (Small/Medium Market) category for its coverage of the search for young snowboarder Carson Hadwin, who spent a night alone after getting lost at Sun Peaks.
RTDNA judges also named CFJC’s Evening News a finalist in the TV Newscast (Small/Medium Market) category for the newscast on February 21, 2020. That newscast revolved around the Kamloops Blazers’ celebration held for the 25th anniversary of the team’s 1995 Memorial Cup victory. Sports Director Earl Seitz joined the newscast at several times, interviewing essential figures in that Memorial Cup victory.
