KAMLOOPS — RCMP are notifying Kamloops residents that a “dangerous sex offender who poses a high risk to re-offend” plans to move to Kamloops.

James Leo Gracie, 61, occasionally uses the alias Finn McInnis. He completed a Long Term Supervision Order last Saturday (Apr. 17) and has informed authorities he intends to live in the Kamloops area.

Description:

  • 6’2″
  • 176 lbs
  • Hazel eyes
  • Brown hair
  • SLIMJIM and RATTLESNAKE tattoos on right arm
  • HEARTLEAVES tattoo on left arm
  • HEART tattoo on upper left arm

Gracie’s rap sheet includes sex offences against children, including sexual assault and forcible confinement.

A story published by News 1130 in 2013 refers to Gracie living in Chilliwack at the time. It notes police had warned the public that Gracie was a threat to children and women. His probation order at the time prevented him from being in contact with children, being in places where children may be, associating with sex workers and consuming alcohol.
