‘Together We Rise’: RIH Foundation launches $35 million fundraising campaign

KAMLOOPS — The Royal Inland Hospital Foundation has set its sights on a $35 million fundraising goal with its new campaign — Together We Rise.

The Foundation revealed the latest campaign Wednesday (April 21), announcing that $15.7 million has already been raised. In today’s online presentation, CEO Heidi Coleman says the money will go toward medical equipment and special projects for both the existing hospital, and the new patient care tower.

“We’re planning to finish the campaign in 2023, so that’s what we’re working toward. So far, we’re doing well but we’d love to get the community support, and we’re happy to meet with everybody out there who wants to donate — and every dollar counts.”

The tower will include more patient rooms, a new surgical floor, mental health, pediatric and respiratory units, and a hospital heli-pad.
