All of Britney Spear’s Family is Getting Involved
Lynne Spears is objecting to the amount of money Jamie Spears has spent on attorney fees in the conservatorship case for their daughter Britney.
People obtained court documents Monday (April 19th) that show Lynne is attempting to recoup $890,000 in attorney fees for services that were not “not performed in good faith for the benefit” of Britney and should be “immediately repaid” to the singer’s estate.
According to documents, $224,000, was spent on a “national media tour” orchestrated by the law firm Holland and Knight to bolster the image of Jamie’s attorney Ms. Vivian Lee Thoreen and to “combat media coverage that cast Mr. Spears in a negative light”.
The filing is the latest court development in Spears’ conservatorship and comes almost a month after Britney’s lawyer asked the court to appoint Jodi Montgomery as her permanent conservator, in place of her father.
