Demi Lovato posts “making of” video for “Dancing With The Devil

Demi Lovato has released an outlined version of her new video for “Dancing With The Devil.” It’s a recreation of the night before and morning of, her overdose.

As the scenes jump from Lovato’s over-drinking, to lying in a hospital bed, real life details pop up on screen. As you read, you learn that everything you see is very intentional. Such as… there are 23 easter eggs scattered through-out the video, representing her 23 tattoos.

As co-director of the video, she said that addressing her trauma through art was “cathartic and healing” for her.

You also see her wearing a ‘Legalize Marijuana’ t-shirt, because it’s similar to the one she actually wore on the night of her overdose. Details are so specific, that some of the actors are wearing clothing that matched what her friends were actually wearing.

The song is the title track of her newest album, Dancing With The Devil… The Art Of Starting Over.

Her 2018 heroin overdose caused 3 strokes, brain damage, and a heart attack.
