B.C. shatters daily COVID-19 case record with 1,293 new infections Thursday
VANCOUVER — B.C. has set another daily COVID-19 case count record – exceeding the previous record by more than 200 cases.
In a briefing from Vancouver Thursday afternoon (Apr. 8), Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry reported a whopping 1,293 new cases of COVID-19. The previous daily record was 1,077, set this past weekend.
Eighty of the newly-found cases were found within Interior Health.
The new cases swell the overall B.C. case count to 108,278, spread through B.C. as follows:
