KAMLOOPS — Winds are whipping a pair of newly-started wildfires in the Kamloops area.
The first was reported earlier Thursday (Apr. 1) in the area of the Neskonlith Reserve just southwest of Chase.
Named the Strawberry Heights Road fire, it had an estimated size of about 12 hectares.
Meantime, a brush fire began late Thursday afternoon in the area of Cooney Bay on the north shore of Kamloops Lake.
