NorKam, Westmount register first post-Spring Break COVID-19 exposures

KAMLOOPS — The first post-Spring Break COVID-19 exposures in schools within Interior Health (IH) have been found in Kamloops.

According to the IH website, an exposure was detected at NorKam Secondary on Monday and Tuesday of last week (Mar. 22 and 23).

Meantime, an exposure was also found at Westmount Elementary on Monday through Wednesday (Mar. 22 to 24).

There are no other relevant school exposures in the entire health authority, though several other districts are only returning to school from a two-week Spring Break Monday (Mar. 29).

School and health officials are contacting those who have been in direct contact with the COVID-19-positive individuals and giving them further instructions.
