KAMLOOPS — Everyone needs a hand getting out of a tight spot once in a while – even our furry friends.
A local family called Kamloops Fire Rescue (KFR) Wednesday night (Mar. 24) when their pooch Bean got stuck underneath their couch. The pup’s neck became lodged in the couch’s reclining mechanism and the family worried that their attempts to free her would result in more harm than good.
KFR personnel came in, carefully dismantled the mechanism and helped Bean regain her freedom.
As KFR says in a social media post, they may not rescue cats from trees anymore, but that doesn’t mean they can’t help out the occasional critter in times of need.
