COVID-19 exposures detected at Westmount Elementary, Dufferin Elementary

KAMLOOPS — As students in the Kamloops-Thompson School District return to class Monday (Mar. 22) after a week’s Spring Break, the district is reporting two new exposures to COVID-19.

The exposures took place during the last week of classes before the break and are listed on the Interior Health (IH) school exposure website.

An exposure took place at Dufferin Elementary on Mar. 10. Another one is listed for Westmount Elementary on Mar. 12.

The District 73 list had been cleared of relevant exposures as of last Friday.

As in all cases of COVID-19 exposures in schools, those who were in direct contact with the individuals who tested positive will be contacted by school or health officials. All others are urged to attend school as usual.
