Skimikin Transfer Station closed after power outage and road closure

SALMON ARM —Skimikin Transfer Station was forced to close on Saturday (March 20).

The Columbia-Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) said a power outage and a road closure in the area was the catalyst.

CSRD said BC Hydro estimated that power would be restored at 6 p.m., which is after operating hours.

The transfer station is scheduled to re-open on Sunday (March 21) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
