KAMLOOPS — While COVID-19 transmission slowed significantly in most areas adjacent to Kamloops, it was still high within the Tournament Capital last week.

The latest case count data broken down by Local Health Area (LHA) by the B.C. Centre for Disease Control shows an even 100 cases in the Kamloops area for the week of February 28 to March 6.

That is down by 24 from the previous week, but remains the highest level of spread within all of Interior Health.

The greatest spread per capita last week took place in the communities of Surrey, North Vancouver and the regions surrounding Prince Rupert including Haida Gwaii.
