KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP want to know if a pair of beauty business break-ins Friday morning (Mar. 5) are related.

The break-ins took place at a Summit Drive business at 2:40 a.m. and at a business on Hillside Drive at 4:40 a.m. In each case, RCMP attended after receiving an alarm, but were not able to track down a suspect.

“Because of the nature of the businesses broken into, we’re asking the public to vigilant about what type of beauty products and accessories they’re buying privately,” said Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cst. Crystal Evelyn in a news release. “By buying items you suspect may be stolen you are inadvertently encouraging crime. Please take the time to ask questions of sellers and if something sounds too good to be true, remember it probably is.”

Evelyn says it’s not known if the two break-ins are related, but anyone with information on the incidents is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP at (250) 828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477.
