Zary first star in Stockton win

KAMLOOPS — Blazers’ forward Connor Zary scored his first pro goal last night- two of them.

Zary had a pair of first period goals and an assist in the American Hockey League’s Sctockton Heat’s 4-1 win over Belleville. Zary was also named the game’s first star.

The Calgary Flames’ first round draft pick is expected to return to the Blazers next week to prepare for the start of their season later this month.

Two other Blazers, goaltender Dylan Garand with Hartford and Quinn Schmiemann with Syracuse will also be returning,
