Tk’emlups: Chief Casimir impersonated again

TK’EMLUPS — For the second time in six months, Tk’emlups te Secwepemc (TteS) Kukpi7/Chief Rosanne Casimir has been impersonated.

A notice from TteS on Wednesday (Mar. 3) stated there was another situation of someone falsely claiming to be chief. Casimir said neither chief nor council would request donations verbally.

“Any misrepresentation of [TteS] Chief and Council, staff or our organization is not acceptable,” Casimir said. “During COVID, times have been challenging for many which has resulted in a rise in false claims for help. There are supports available. If you need help, please reach out for assistance.”

Casimir was impersonated in September. TteS provided the correct contact information for chief and council.
