Kamloops man wanted in 2019 kidnapping arrested after Vancouver traffic stop
KAMLOOPS — A Kamloops man who has been on the run for 11 months has been arrested after a traffic stop in Vancouver.
In a news release, Cst. Crystal Evelyn of Kamloops RCMP says 33-year-old Robert Rennie was arrested by Vancouver Police Department officers at 2:20 a.m. Monday (Mar. 1).
Rennie was one of three men charged in an alleged hostage-taking incident on Valentine’s Day of 2019. The incident involved multiple locations in Kamloops, with RCMP tracking the suspects to Kelowna, arresting them after a standoff.
