Blazers Garand makes first pro start

KAMLOOPS — Blazers goaltender Dylan Garand made his first start in pro hockey this afternoon, in the American League, for the Hartford Wolfpack against the Providence Bruins.
Providence broke a 2-2 tie with two unanswered third period goals in a 4-2 win.
Garand went the distance stopping 18 shots for Hartford, the New York Rangers top farm team.
He has appeared in two games, playing 81 minutes and 30 seconds, with a 3.68 goals against and .839 saves percentage.
