Potential COVID-19 exposures at half-dozen Kamloops, Merritt schools

KAMLOOPS — Five more Kamloops schools and one addition Merritt school are all under watch for potential COVID-19 exposures last week.

Arthur Stevenson Elementary, South Kamloops Secondary, and Valleyview Secondary schools in Kamloops may have been exposed to COVID-19 on Feb. 22, 23, and 24. Meanwhile, Kay Bingham Elementary and Kamloops School of the Arts have potential exposure notices for Feb. 23 and 24.

Merritt Secondary may have been exposed to COVID-19 on Feb. 24

The half-dozen new exposures come after similar incidents in Kamloops took place at Sa-Hali Secondary on Feb. 16, Beattie Elementary on Feb.17 and 18, Norkam Secondary on Feb. 18 and 19. In Merritt, Collettville was given a potential exposure notice on Feb. 18.

All notifications are removed after 14 days when the risk of transmission has passed.
