Heavy snowfall leads to poor driving conditions on the Coquihalla

MERRITT, B.C. — The Coquihalla Highway from Merritt to Hope is still subject to a winter storm warning, nearly 24 hours after the warning was first issued.
Environment Canada says snowfall is expected to continue along the route throughout the day Thursday (Feb. 25), with as much as 30 centimetres expected by Friday morning.
That is playing havoc with driving conditions.
According to Drive BC, there have been no closures along the route Thursday morning, but it is slippery and snow-covered with limited visibility.
